Leadership...

Just lead.

Great leaders are not good at everything, but they have learned how to become competent at the important things.  In the process, they have learned what they are not good at and have built their team of core leaders around that honest evaluation.

All leaders have an ego and a sense of pride.  Without them, they would still be among the pack and not leading it…But smart and emotionally mature leaders are just as familiar with their weaknesses as they are with their strengths.  They know when to swallow their pride and sit on their ego…especially when it benefits the team and ultimate success hangs in the balance.

If you have to be good at everything, you will end up being good at very little and great at nothing.  Don’t chase your weaknesses and have little time, energy and resources left to become great at something you are only good at.

“The lion that chases all the lambs gets none.”
                                            African proverb.
